Burning Coal Theatre
Located in the historic Murphey School, Burning Coal Theatre produces literate, visceral, affecting theatre that is experienced, not simply seen. The theatre’s artistic director, Jerome Davis, approached us last December to discuss improvements to the theatre that include and expanded lobby, a more compelling street presence, a more efficient building envelope, a new roof, a planning for an upper story addition above the school and trap space below the theatre floor. With our assistance and the help of Greg Paul Builders, the theatre is currently pursuing grant funding to complete the lobby and envelope improvements.
