The Ten at South Person

Raleigh, NC | 2015 | ten 1,450 sf units

DHIC, Inc. hired us to be the Design Architects for a ten-unit contemporary row house project on an urban site in southeast downtown Raleigh. The project is a new housing type for our city - modern, affordable, and with the DNA of a row house, the building block of the world’s most lively urban areas. The design maximizes square footage at a low cost, responds to defining characteristics of the historic overlay district, and creates a healthy streetscape, complete with a stoop and a varied repetition of windows and materials. The ten units sold in a mere six days, and the price point was the least expensive per-square-foot housing that has been offered in downtown in years. Despite its crisp modern form, the building is nestled comfortably in the historic neighborhood.
